ZERMAT DR1 – Drying tunnel for vacuum bags after the shrinking process
The ZERMAT DR1 is an industrial drying tunnel for the direct post-processing of vacuum bags after the shrink tank (retractilado). After shrinking, residual water often remains on the bags, unnecessarily complicating labeling, handling, and carton packaging . The DR1 automatically removes this moisture, ensuring that the product emerges from the line dry, clean, and ready for immediate further processing .
The DR1 is designed for integration into automated packaging lines and can be synchronized with the TR8 and TR10 shrink tanks. It operates continuously : all bags pass through the tunnel and exit without water on their surface.
Advantages in everyday packaging
-
Dries instantly after shrinking – ideal for direct onward transport
-
Labeling is possible directly after the process (no airing/wiping necessary)
-
Perfect for cardboard packaging , as no moisture softens the cardboard.
-
Clean workflow in the line through continuous operation
-
Minimal maintenance level thanks to robust design
Technology & Equipment (DR1)
The DR1 operates with an air knife system and conveyor belt. The air is generated by a powerful turbine, which can be adjusted at the top and bottom . The belt speed is variable , allowing the throughput to be perfectly adapted to the product and cycle time. A photocell detects the product at the infeed and automatically switches the turbine on and off.
